The 1.5-inch thick pad will expand on its own with an open valve, and can be topped off with a few breaths. The semi-rectangular shape increases sleep area, and makes for better, gap-free mating with other rectangular air mattresses. Like all Therm-a-Rest pads, the Trail Lite is made to ensure quality and minimize environmental impact. The Trail Lite includes a stuff sack to protect the pad when it's packed down.
